Enrichment Courses

Iaomai Academy’s enrichment courses are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster community - without the pressure of traditional academics.

Our 10-week courses meet twice a week for 90 minutes and are open to students in grades 4-8. Each course blends history, storytelling, strategy, and design through hands-on, project-based learning.

Whether your child loves sports, creativity, or leadership, our enrichment program offers a flexible, meaningful way to stay engaged.

Student Readiness

To ensure a successful experience, enrichment students must be able to:
✔ Follow two-step directions
✔ Regulate behavior with minimal adult support
✔ Read quietly for 10–15 minutes
✔ Work independently and in small groups

 

Enrollment Details

  • Space is limited to 10 students per course

  • Enrollment is first come, first served

  • A waitlist will be created once spots are filled

  • A $20 enrollment fee secures your child’s seat

NFL History: The Game Behind the Game

Students in grades 4-8 will explore the evolution of professional football from its early days to the modern NFL. Through hands-on projects and team challenges, students will learn about historic players, team branding, rule changes, the business of football, and more. The course culminates in the creation of a fully imagined NFL expansion team, including name, mascot, logo, team colors, and a presentation to pitch why it deserves a place in the league.​

Meeting Times:

Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 10:30 am

History of the NFL Quarterback: Leadership, Legacy, and the Spotlight

This engaging enrichment for grades 4-8 focuses on the most iconic and scrutinized position in football - the quarterback. Students will examine how QBs have changed over time, compare playing styles, explore media pressure, and debate what makes a quarterback elite or the G.O.A.T. The course ends with students nominating a quarterback to the “Iaomai QB Hall of Fame” through a creative presentation that blends stats, storytelling, and strategy.
