Middle & High School Tutoring Program

Schedule: Tue & Thu, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM

Iaomai Academy offers personalized tutoring designed to build confidence and strengthen foundational skills in Pre-Algebra and Writing for middle and high school students.

Disclaimer: We follow the Spotsylvania County Public Schools calendar, so tutoring will be unavailable on major and school holidays as well as winter break and spring break. Students scheduled for tutoring on these dates will be rescheduled to the next available date that week (space permitting) or the following week. Our academic calendar can be found here.

Overview

Each student receives one hour of individualized tutoring once a week, scheduled on either Tuesday or Thursday based on available time slots. Tutoring is currently offered online.

Diagnostic Assessments & Curriculum

All new tutoring students complete a brief diagnostic assessment in their first session. This helps us identify specific areas of strength and growth to create a personalized learning plan for their time at Iaomai Academy.

Students enrolled in Pre-Algebra tutoring will use the Math-U-See Pre-Algebra curriculum, while students receiving Writing tutoring will use Essentials in Writing to strengthen composition, grammar, and written expression skills.

Enrollment Information

Families use TutorBird, our online portal, to:

View and manage appointments
Receive announcements and reminders
Track session notes and student progress

TutorBird access will be granted only after an initial discussion with the family about their student’s needs and a mutual agreement that Iaomai Academy is an appropriate fit for tutoring. Families will be required to sign a tutoring policy agreement.

Tutoring is available in flexible packages to fit your student’s needs. Our packages range in price from $120-$380. Reach out for more information.

Payment is due in full prior to the start of the first tutoring session.

Who We Serve

While Iaomai Academy proudly supports students with diverse learning needs, our tutoring program is not equipped to serve students with moderate to severe learning differences or significant academic delays at this time. We focus on helping students who may need additional guidance, structure, or confidence to reach their full potential in their middle or high school curriculum.
